Cross Community Alliances; the Climate Action We Need Now.
End Pay to Play at City Hall!
Investigate Vista Ridge!
Is the city of San Antonio serious about “Climate Action” while its own water utility continues with the $3.4B unnecessary Vista Ridge water pipeline; a project opposed by progressives AND conservatives?
Isn't San Antonians getting together across party lines to challenge the “pay to play” political climate, a requirement for getting meaningful action at City Hall?
Cross Community Alliances
Saturday, March 30, 10 am to 12 noon
Tripoint Event Center, 3233 North Saint Mary's St, San Antonio, TX 78212
United We Succeed, Divided We Fall, y'all!
This event will be streamed on LIV's Facebook page.
- San Antonians are already paying for what is said to be the most expensive groundwater in Texas, even though Vista Ridge pumping will not begin until 2020. Let’s join hands now to demand a full investigation of Vista Ridge.
- Over $2 million was raised from only 170 contributors in an attempt to deny San Antonians their right to simply vote on citizens petitions last November.
This event is to inform candidates for Mayor and City Council and to bring cross-community discussion into the May election, for the greater good!
We will discuss this draft resolution calling on the City Council to require an independent managerial, legal and financial review of the Vista Ridge Project; and providing for the open and expeditious replacement of outgoing board members.
